My summary: After being hit by a car, Evening “Eve” Striker is whisked from the ER to her mother’s biotech firm, where she meets enigmatic teen intern Solo Plissken. As Eve heals, her mother asks her to use Striker Biopharm’s new technology to create the perfect man. But when Solo shares some disturbing secrets with Eve — secrets about her mother, Striker Biopharm, and Eve herself — they find themselves in terrible danger.
My take: Eve and Adam was a fun, fast-paced read that kept me flipping the pages. It was one part Adoration of Jenna Fox, one part Mannequin. Eve was a spirited heroine, her mother a great Mommy Dearest-meets-Real Housewives of Silicon Valley villainess.
Then there’s Solo. Here’s how he’s described:
“He’s scruffy-looking with too much hair, too little shaving. He’s tall and wide shouldered, muscular, blondish. Extremely blue eyes.”
Solo. Scruffy and cute. Hmmm. Anyone else getting this mental picture?
I have this one, I haven't got to reading it but, it sounds awesome. I am super curious about it now and I can't wait to read it glad you enjoyed it!

Although I thought of Han Solo every time I read his name, I still didn't picture Solo. I actually pictured more of a blond surfer meathead…probably because I didn't like Solo but I LOVE Han Solo. I've never seen Escape from New York (my 80s movie knowledge is rather lacking) but the picture looks intriguing!
Yeah, book Solo had a LOT to live up to with that name.
Oh holy goodness … You HAD to put Han in my head this morning, didn't you? ;o) hahahaha … I have A Thing for Han Solo. A Thing, I tell you! Mmm … Book-Solo is described that way, is he? I may have to give this one a whirl … But first I think I need to revisit that galaxy far, far away … Mmm, scoundrels.
Book Solo doesn't have the same snarky panache as Han Solo. But I was happy to think about Han while I was reading.
Oh, okay. Good to know Book Solo won't totally trample/supercede Han … I do love that snark. Scruffy. Snarky. And a sweet cookie of a ship…
No one is like Han Solo. Just like no one is like Mr. Darcy. *meaningful stare*

LOL you weren't even born when that movie came out. Don't bother — to someone of your generation, it will probably seem totally cheesy. But when I rented it on VHS back in the 90s it was the bomb!

I kept thinking of Han Solo whenever I read his name too! lol I had no idea about the Escape From New York reference. I have never seen that movie. 🙁 I'm glad you liked this one! 🙂

I love sci fi and look forward to seeing the creation of the perfect boy. Wish I could make one for myself LOL Solo also made me think of Han Solo. I enjoy multiple POVs and of course going against the parents and the baddies.
Awesome review! This sounds so amazing, and I'm sure I'm gonna enjoy it. You should read Michael Grant's other books too! After reading Gone and BZRK, my expectations for Eve and Adam are super high- and from the sound of your review, I don't think it'll disappoint!
Sounds interesting… seems like there is a lot going on, but I'm going to check it out the next time I'm in the mood for some good sci-fi… and I like my sci-fi light, so that's good.

I'm not so sure about this, it seems like it might be a little too sci-fi for me, but then again I liked Cinder so maybe. And anyone that reminds you of Han Solo gets extra points cause I had a huge crush on Solo back in the day (though really, what girl didn't?)
