WELCOME TO YA All Day
A Community for Y2K YA Readers!
I’m Jen, and I’ve been a book blogger since 2011. YA has changed a lot, most of it for the better. But it’s fun to look back on those days of dystopian trilogies, girls in dresses and love triangles. Let’s laugh at Y2K YA and then talk about what we’re reading now.
We have to understand where we’ve been to understand where we are going. Yes, Y2K YA had many flaws: unnecessary trilogies, annoying cliffhangers, ridiculous love triangles, and a definite lack of representation in its characters and plots.
But it also taught us a few valuable lessons. Beware of guys who like to watch you sleep. And pay attention while reading: who knew that after reading 1000 dystopian trilogies, we’d be living in a real-life dystopia?
YA All Day is more than just book reviews – it’s a gathering place for YA lit enthusiasts. Join our community and connect with fellow lovers of YA, share your TBRs and DNFs, and seek inspiration for your next read.
