What Is Threshing Day?
Threshing Day is a collection set in Rebecca Yarros's Empyrean world. On Threshing Day at Basgiath War College, first-year cadets walk into the field and hope a dragon chooses them. Not everyone walks out. The book gives 13 riders their own bonding story:
- Xaden Riorson & Sgaeyl
- Mira Sorrengail & Teine
- Brennan Sorrengail & Marbh
- Garrick Tavis & Chradh
- Dain Aetos & Cath
- Bodhi Durran & Cuir
- Imogen Cardulo & Glane
- Rhiannon Matthias & Feirge
- Sawyer Henrick & Sliseag
- Ridoc Gamlyn & Aotrom
- Liam Mairi & Deigh
- Sloane Mairi & Thoirt
- Aaric Graycastle & Molvic
Early reader reviews single out Xaden's chapter as a favorite, Ridoc's as the funniest, and Sloane's as the most emotional.
