Who Writes the Reviews at YA All Day?

I (Jen Ryland) research, write, and edit 100% of the posts, reviews and quizzes on YA All Day.

I am committed to providing honest reviews for other readers and clear and transparent information about any consideration I receive.

Where do I get the books I review?

Like most book lovers, I purchase many books and get others from my local library.

As a trusted and respected member of the book community since 2011, I am also fortunate enough to be offered Advance Review Copies (ARCs) for review consideration. These ARCs are pre-publication copies that have no retail value. In exchange, I am asked to provide an honest review of the book.

ARC distribution is a long-standing book industry practice that helps books gain crucial exposure before and around the time of a book’s publication.

Authors, publishers and publicists can NOT pay reviewers. At this time, my site does not include any paid promotional content.

Ethics and Integrity on YA All Day

As a reviewer who accepts ARCs, I must follow all FTC guidelines, which can be found here.

If I receive a book from a publisher, author, or publicist, I will state that at the top pf my review. If there is no disclosure, I obtained the book on my own.

I was a freelance content creator for Random House Children’s Books from 2016-2023. Most of my work involved writing quizzes that matched readers to books. I did not review books for pay, not did I have any editorial oversight.

YA All Day Comment Policy

I LOVE comments and read and reply to each and every one.

Having different opinions about books is normal and should be encouraged! I want you to feel free to express your opinions in my comment section.

I welcome all opinions in comments as long as they are respectful to others AND relevant to the topic at hand.

I have wonderful blog readers and almost never have to edit or delete comments. Due to the fact that most spam comments contain links, I no longer allow links in a comment unless they links to something relevant to the topic, like an article or author interview.

NO promotional links or spam links will be published.
