I love mysteries. And I’m so happy that YA authors like Jill Hathaway, Kim Derting, Barry Lyga, and Kim Harrington are writing such great ones.
Back when I first started blogging I wrote about my love of YA mysteries and my love of teen detective Clarity Fern on my Goodreads review of Kim Harrington’s Perception.
When I saw that Kim Harrington had a new series coming out, I was beyond excited. Then on Monday I read on Kim’s blog that the book has a new cover!
A haunted house, a buried mystery, and a very angry ghost make this one unforgettable thriller.
Jade loves the house she’s just moved into with her family. She doesn’t even mind being the new girl at the high school: It’s a fresh start, and there’s that one guy with the dreamy blue eyes. . . .

I also love ghost stories, mysteries, and Kim Harrington's mysteries so I think this will be a good read for me. I remember discussions about covers where the girl looks like she is dead and it seems like there is actually good cause for that appearance on this book's cover.
Yes, there has been controversy about the "dead girl" covers.
But for a mystery where there IS a dead body, I say go for it!
So adding this to Goodreads! Ghosts creep me out, but I still love reading books with them in it! Thanks for sharing!

This was my pick a few weeks ago!! I think I like the first cover better. It gives off a creepier vibe. This one is pretty though.
The first one looks more like suspense. But I really like the new one!

Noooooo! I absolutely loved the old cover! I had actually just featured is as the cover of the day over at Cover to Cover a couple weeks ago. The new one is so much more generic and unoriginal =(

Hmm… yes the old cover was spooky, but this new one screams "dead body — solve the crime." To me, at least!
I like the cover. But some people prefer the old one…

I don't like mysteries but this still sounds interesting to me. Maybe because of the paranormal element.
I'll have to try to find the old cover to see what all the hoopla is about.
Since Goodreads changed the cover, I put old vs new so you can decide for yourself…
I though that the older cover stood out more and was creepier.It's not that this new cover is bad…
IDK. I need to read the book first. The new one is sorta Deadly Cool while the old one is sorta Unwind. For me, it depends which one fits.
Damaged girl vibe could be good… Maybe that's why she's a ghost now.

Oh, I just saw this book yesterday and was drooling over it! However, I want the old cover back! The new one is kinda weird. :/
I love a great mystery read. There should be more.
I wouldn't mind getting into a good mystery right now and I love the ghost story! My problem is that a lot of YA mysteries seem weak to me or pretty obvious from the start. Meh. I'mm definitely add this to my list and read when it's dark and gloomy this winter. Thanks for the review!
I am such a wimp when it comes to ghost stories. It freaks me out. Maybe I shouldn't be reading late in the night. That cover looks so creepy. She's just lying there.. -_- Thanks for sharing this one, because I'm not sure if I'd read it..But then again I love mystery novels
