I was excited about Have a Great Summer for two reasons: first, it takes place on the Jersey Shore and second, it’s a second chance at love story. Or maybe a missed chance at love story??
Angelina “Lina” Marciano lost her dream New York City journalism job and now she’s got a new gig writing for a New Jersey lifestyle website, covering food and weddings. This means she’s back in Brantley Beach on the Jersey Shore.
Lina is shocked to run into her old crash, Sebastian, with whom she flirted when they worked side by side at Bubba’s, a seaside restaurant, in the oughties. (I love a story featuring teenagers with jobs!)
Sebastian is about to get married, and Lina’s boss wants her to cover his wedding. Awkward! I won’t reveal what happens next, but there are highs and lows, ups and downs, and (of course) a happily ever after!
