You’re the One That I Haunt is a paranormal romance with a vivid NYC setting and a lot of heart!
When Libby was a teenager, her best friend (and crush) Carter Coldwell confides that he’s cursed. Every man in his family has been killed by a NYC taxi.
Years later, Libby attends Carter’s engagement party and meets cute with … a ghost named Trip. He’s Carter’s cousin, and in a coma because of that pesky taxi curse. But he might know a way to break the Coldwell curse forever. And he needs Libby’s help. But freeing Carter from the curse might also mean that Libby could be with him…
Libby was a great character. I love when romance characters have a fully-described life and Libby was clearly a good friend, devoted grandchild, and community volunteer. The New York setting was so fun, from Carter and Trip’s fancy Upper East Side lives to Libby’s Polish grandmother, Babcia, a seamstress who might have some paranormal abilities that she passed on to her granddaughter.
I also love a good story about a curse and enjoyed watching Libby try to figure out how to break the Coldwell curse so that Carter, his fiancée Sabrina, Trip, and Libby can all be with their true loves.
Perfect for the spooky season but also great any time of year!
