I’ve been blogging for one year!
It’s hard to believe — it went by so fast!
Over 400 posts — whew!
Over 10, 000 comments — thank you for that!

I love to share great books — I’ve given away over 100 books to my blog followers and readers

I also love to find places to donate books.  Every year, I participate in a book drive in my community that collects books for underfunded public schools.  You can read more about my “leave a comment and I’ll donate a book” project in this post  and and there are pictures of the event and my last year’s donation here.

I’ve had a lot of international winners. I’ve mailed giveaway prizes to Germany, Australia, Canada, the Netherlands, Bosnia, Ireland and the Philippines.

Best of all, I’ve met so many amazing readers, authors and bloggers!

Most of my very first followers ever — Cristina from Princess of Storyland, Jennifer from Some Like It Paranormal, RivkaBelle from A Word’s Worth, and Arianne from ArianneCruz are still with me. Thanks, guys!

In honor of my blogoversary, I’m planning a few small changes — a blog redesign, for one. I’m also starting a Pay It Forward program to help brand-new bloggers — more details on that soon. I’ll keep all the stuff you know and love, like Freebie Friday.


Yes, there will also be a giveaway to thank all my fantastic followers. Stay tuned for that.

Mostly, I’d just like to say this to all of you who read the blog, leave me comments that make me smile, write books and blogs I love to read, and come here to discuss books with me…. THANK YOU!

Jen has been blogging about books since 2011. In that time, she has read and reviewed over 1500 books. She loves helping readers find their perfect next read and helping books find their audience.

  1. Happy Blogversary! You are one of my favorites that I love to visit. It is so nice of you to donate so many books! I hope to check out a local high school this year and see if the teachers would be interested in a few I no longer need. 🙂

    1. Aw, thanks. I love your blog too. In fact, I was just saying that to a commenter on my Bloggiesta post!

      We are huge readers in my family so we have a LOT of books. I love to pass some of them on!

      I know so many teachers buy supplies out of pocket and most teachers love to have classroom libraries. I bet they'd be so excited to get some books from you!

    I hope you love your new blog design and your pay it forward program sounds awesome! i've been around for 4ish months and I feel like that's something I really could have benefited from in the beginning.

  19. Happy blogoversary, Jen! You have no idea how glad I am that we bonded over our mutual love of Veronica Mars. I don't think I've stopped stalking your blog since! 😀 Your generosity is so admirable and those are some impressive stats, too. You do good work, kid. 😛 Ugh, and everyone's redesigning now…makes me think I need to consider doing so myself. Now THAT is terrifying! 😛 Anyway, congrats on the milestone…just more proof that you're pretty awesome. =)
