The Sugar Maple Inn | Spicy Small Town Romance
The Sugar Maple Inn is perfect for fans of small town romance who like things cozy AND spicy. This cozy fall romance is part of a series.

The Sugar Maple Inn (Solace Springs 2) by Laura Bloom

The Sugar Maple Inn is book two in the Solace Springs series. I had not read The Cherry Blossom Boathouse, and I think these books work fine as standalone titles.
I’d describe the book as a small town romance with cozy fall vibes … and some quirks. Single mom Grace Sullivan has lived in town all her life and wants to buy and run a historic inn in town that’s up for sale.
But she might have competition: a billionaire who has his own reasons for wanting to buy the inn.
The fall vibes are high: a harvest festival, a bonfire, and of course, maple syrup.
Can sassy Grace and stuffy Reese Spencer ever see eye to eye? Will they discover that they are secret Reddit pen pals? And can Grace ever forgive him for not telling her about his ulterior motive?
The Sugar Maple Inn had
- Dual POV, but it was third person close alternating, which is a bit unusual.
- A charming small town setting.
- Multiple open door scenes plus some sexting over Reddit private messages (lolol)
- Plenty of fun tropes: secret correspondence, billionaire romance, forced proximity, and a brief breakup solved by a grand gesture.
- Publication date: September 15, 2026 by Dell. Thanks so much to them for the advance review copy.
This book is Perfect For:
- Readers who like their small town stories with some sass and spice
- Those who are open to an unusual narrative format and epistolary elements
