Top YA Paranormal Romance with Angels

Wondering what are the Top YA Paranormal Romance with Angels? Fallen by Lauren Kate is airing on Netflix in 2025, which is giving me all the retro Y2K YA vibes. Remember those swoony early 2000s books with fallen angels and love triangles? Angels are back!

Best YA Paranormal Books With Angels

YA Paranormal Romance With Angels

YA Paranormal Romance Books About Angels were part of the HUGE YA Paranormal trend from the early 2000s to the mid 2010s.

Angel books weren’t as wildly popular as vampire YA Paranormal Romance, but there were a few big series that had all the hallmarks of Y2K YA Paranormal Romance:

Fallen by Lauren Kate on Netflix

The Netflix series Fallen is based on the best-selling teen YA paranormal romance series by Lauren Kate.

The first book in the Fallen series, published in 2009, was about a girl sent to boarding school in the South. Lucinda (Luce) is drawn to Daniel, a brooding boy at her reform school, only to discover he’s a fallen angel, and their love story spans centuries.

The series had multiple books and was adapted as a 2016 movie, which didn’t get great reviews.

The new Netflix adaptation of Fallen is an eight-part series that debuted in August 2024.

The main cast (the love triangle trio!) includes Jessica Alexander as Lucinda “Luce” Price, Gijs Blom as Daniel Grigori
and Timothy Innes as Cameron “Cam” Briel.
