I’m Always Waiting for THE Rebecca Retelling
I am always waiting for The Rebecca retelling. You know, the one that really hits the mark. Did any of these books impress me? I’ll fill you in!
I love Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.
Yes, there are aspects of the book that feel a bit dated, but there’s just something about the story of the young wife who’s haunted by the dead ex-wife. It’s creepy, it’s Gothic, it’s just really a great premise.
None of the YA Rebecca retellings I’ve read have completely hit the mark for me, but I never give up hope.

I didn't know this was a Rebecca retelling (shows how much I pay attention to the synopsis). But…that cover is just so distracting and beautiful!! I'm so excited for this one, and I hope it's as gorgeous as that cover. Oh, and I must read the actual Rebecca book soon too. Great pick! 🙂

Rebecca was one of the few high school required reading choices that I really enjoyed. I didn't realize it was popular or as well-known to get the retelling treatment, but this book sounds fascinating.

Rebecca is one of my favorite books too, but I haven't read any retellings of it. The one you mentioned sounds creepy and good. I'll check it out.
I've never heard of Rebecca and I had NO idea that The Dead and Buried was actually a retelling O_O
BUT I am waiting on this one too! 😀 I loved Timeless by the author (even if the sequel was a huge disappointment) and I cannot wait to see the magic the author will work with this one.

I have this one on my wish list cause the summary sounds amazing and the cover is stunning, but I had no idea it was a Rebecca retelling!!
I can't say I have read Rebecca, but I love retellings. Primarily fairytale retellings, but I feel like retellings in general have a fantastical magical air about them that I LOVE and easily find myself engrossed in. I haven't heard of this book before, but I am LOVING the cover and the synopsis. I may definitely have to check this one out! I have the audiobook of Rebecca because I know you love it so much. I'm listening to Death Comes to Pemberly, then finishing Emma, then I'll listen to that next. I've taken to soothing British narrators as I fall asleep. This new retelling actually has me interested, though.
