I was excited that I got to see my friend Lauren from Love is Not a Triangle this past weekend.
In addition to all the other bookish things we discussed, we had a long conversation about the Shatter Me trilogy by Tahereh Mafi.
We talked a lot about our apprehensions about the third and final book, Ignite Me, which is coming out on February 4, 2014.
Lauren and I have different hopes about how things work out.
She’s a fan of guy-next-door Adam and, though I’d pick Adam if I were matchmaking for a friend of mine, I think that Warner is a better fit for Juliette. I mean, they’re both a little crazy!
However, the point of these posts will be to distract all of us from thinking about the Love Triangle and how that was going to play out.
I’ll have a few posts this week about the trilogy, which will include trivia questions on Shatter Me and Unravel Me.
Today will be trivia questions. They’re just for fun — even if you get them wrong, you can still enter to win!

Juliette loves a metaphor. I mean, she REALLY REALLY loves them.

Question Two: Can You Spot Juliette’s Strangest Sensory Descriptions?
Juliette is also very attuned to her feelings. Very very. She’s hyper-aware of every single feeling, and often translates her emotional pain using very unusual imagery.

A) Someone is sticking forks in my back.
B) Blood is bleeding all over my mind.
C) The sky is raining bricks onto my skull.

Oh man those were tough questions! I had no idea about either. I personally prefer to read about Warner (though I still haven't read the second book yet) but I also think he's a bit psycho so not really prepared for a relationship of any kind.
Read the second book then because it's so going to change your mind. I didn't even like Warner before the second book but damn now I love him
Oh boy, I don't remember any of those. lol How awesome that you got to see Lauren this weekend! i'M VERY NERVOUS TO READ THIS FINALE. i JUST FEEL LIKE IT WILL BE A DISAPPOINTMENT. Oh oops, sorry for the caps lock. I started to see reviews popping up on my Goodreads TL so I think I'll be steering clear of there for the next week.
I'm not entering the giveaway since I'll be going to a booj signing, but I love this! I like Adam too, but I do think Warner is the better fit for Juliette. I'm all kinds of nervous about this last book, but I trust Mafi with whatever ending she's come up with.

Bahaha…this is pure genius. I actually could see Juliette using ALL of those metaphors. 🙂 How fun that you got to see Lauren! I am definitely Team Warner…you're right…they're both a little crazy and would work better together. And there's actually some passion there. I cannot wait for release day!
Haha! The two educated guesses I made were completely wrong! I also agree with you Jen that Warner is the better match for Juliette. I feel like Adam is the 'safe' choice but I don't think he compliments her as well as Warner does.
I thought for sure I had these answers nailed down! … and then I got them wrong hahaha.

Haha, totally wrong on both, and wow – those are pretty crazy descriptions. I still haven't read this series, although I have a signed copy of Shatter Me that I won from you last year, So thanks again for that!!!! I've been saving it for when Ignite Me was about to release, and I plan to start by the end of the week. I already bought a Kindle copy of Unravel Me and both novellas, so now the only one I don't have is Ignite Me! Fingers crossed 🙂

What a great idea! And so fun! Okay, honestly, I had no freaking clue what the answers were. I have a horrible memory lol. But I love the series and I absolutely cannot wait for Ignite Me! Squeeee! 🙂
So funny because last night I opened UNRAVEL ME back up and started skimming through it–of course re-reading Chapter 62 in ITS ENTIRETY first:) But I have NO idea about any of these quotes–I mean they all sound like Juliette! Still it serves as a reminder that to get the full effect when IGNITE ME releases in a few days, I think I better go back and do some reviewing:)
And you know that I am totally with you on the Team Warner front 🙂

I haven't started reading these books yet but I do have the first one on my bookshelf so I picked A for both answers.
Everyone's been making Ignite Me post lately and it's driving me insane! I can't wait for this book and every day reminder is not a good thing. Thankfully, it's coming out soon.
I need a Warner fix as soon as possible.

I've had the first book for so long now, but haven't read it. I feel like a loser. I'm going to read it in February or March though, and hopefully read the series within a small amount of time.
See…. I'm not the only one who is a fan of Adam! I haven't read Unravel Me yet so that could change, but I'm also pretty stubborn like that 😉

I thought "There are wirecutters carving holes in my heart." was the wrong one for some reason! Reading these quotes out of context is sorta disconcerting!
I don't think I've ever been excited for a book like I'm excited for Ignite Me-And I'm definitely shipping Warner and Juliette too! They are both CRAZY awesome. XD

haha those quotes! They sound really weird isolated but they probably sound a lot better in context Like "someone is sticking forks in my back". By itself it's like, um, okay haha.

Oh man, I've had Shatter Me sitting on my shelf gathering dust for a long time now. Hopefully I can get around to it soon – and at this rate, I can read the whole trilogy at once! 😉
