Merry Spooky Love | Spicy Cozy Holiday Paranormal Romance
Merry Spooky Love: the book for you if you’re looking for a romance that’s spicy, cozy, and has a holiday setting. Here are my thoughts!

Merry Spooky Love | Spicy Holiday Paranormal Romance
Merry Spooky Love by Josie Silver is book three in the Blithe Spirits (the first two books are Crazy Spooky Love and Kooky Spooky Love. I thought I recognized the author’s name, and have read and reviewed her book One Day in December.
I thought going in that Merry Spooky Love was a standalone holiday paranormal romance, but I had no trouble reading it without having read the other books. Silver goes a great job filling in any possible gaps.
Melody Bittersweet can see ghosts, as can the other women in her family. She run the Girls Ghostbusting Agency.
One day a new client, Lucy Libertine, comes into the office. She’s a ghost who needs help with her nieces and nephews, who run the historical Libertine Department Store in Chapelwick. Her nephews don’t want to run the store, and have given Lucy’s niece Fleur an ultimatum: buy them out or agree to sell to an outsider.
Melody is also juggling her attraction to Fletch, an attractive reporter, and her ex, Leo, who has started a rival agency.
There wasn’t really a mystery in this (not sure why I thought there was, but overall I found it very cozy with appealing characters and a medium amount of holiday cheer.
Merry Spooky Love had:
- A charming small town setting
- Cozy paranormal vibes
- Open door spice (two medium explicit scenes)
- Publication date: October 13, 2026 by Dell. Thanks so much to them for the advance review copy.
Merry Spooky Love is Perfect For:
