New Jennifer Lynn Barnes Books?
Are there New Jennifer Lynn Barnes books for Fall 2025? I saw these “new” titles and then realized these books are a ten year old duology that is getting a 10th anniversary makeover: new covers and new titles. Let’s discuss!

New Jennifer Lynn Barnes Books? No, just a makeover
I am a Jennifer Lynn Barnes fan from way back. I read her Naturals series (so good!) and of course I read her Fixer duology, about a teen who has to go live with her older sister, a “fixer.”
If you’re a Gen Z, maybe you don’t remember Olivia Pope in Scandal (Netflix), who defined being a “fixer” and made it glam. I’m also partial to Flack with Anna Pacquin (Amazon Prime).

I loved The Fixer and The Long Game!
This is the 10 year anniversary of The Fixer, and the duology is getting new titles and covers!

I was beyond happy to find The Fixer! It was a fun, fast-paced story that had me flipping the pages like crazy. The Fixer has a fish-out-of-water feel, as Tess is whisked from her old life in Montana to a live with her sister Ivy after her grandfather needs to go into a nursing home. Not surprisingly, The Fixer also has political elements. The Fixer is also a story about family, as Tess and Ivy have to address their strained relationship.

The Long Game was suspenseful, twisty and dark! Tess continues her role as a champion for the underdog, which is nice. But I’d say that this book moves more into the political thriller category, taking the events from book one and building on them to create a gripping and intricately plotted story that plunged Tess, Vivvie, Asher and Henry into a believably terrifying situation. I love it when an author makes gutsy narrative choices – there were some things here that I definitely did not see coming!

Most fun of all, you can read my Blog Tour Post from 2015!

Jennifer Lynn Barnes sent an original “fixer” challenge to each participant and mine was called The Case of the Duct-Tape Picture. Check it out at the link above.
Jen even stops by to comment on people’s solutions. It was so fun!
Hope you check out these books! Out September 2, 2025!
