Waiting on Wednesday … Days of Blood & Starlight

On a beach vacation over the summer, I tackled a stack of books I’d been meaning to read forever. One of them was Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. You can read my “why didn’t I read this book sooner” post here.
Now I’m very excited that there’s only a (relatively) short wait for the next book in the series:

I love to read books right when they come out, but the benefit to not reading a book right away is that the wait for the next book seems so much shorter!

That is definitely a bonus! There are a couple of series where I'm waiting to read them until all 3 books are out as I sometimes get tired of the waiting.
Every time I do that, I love it. There's nothing like finishing one book and being able to pick the next one up 🙂
Very true. I read it back in December and then listened to the audio about a month later. I should probably do that just to prep for DoBaS. 🙂 I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS BOOK!!!!!! 😀

Can't wait for this one either! I have been scouring the net to try to find touring ARCs or E-Arcs to request and there is just NOTHING. Days of Blood and Starlight is in demand for sure:)
I read on Laini Taylor's blog that there are no ARCs. So you can relax and just wait patiently!
I'm really excited for this one as well. I didn't read Daughter of Smoke and Bone until last month and I was torn between wishing I had read it sooner and wishing I had waited till the second was released so I wouldn't have to wait so long to find out what happens next!
Well, still, you don't have to wait that long!!

I avoided the first book too, it just didn't seem like a book I'd be interested in. But then enough blogs that I trusted seemed to like it, so I bought the audio and I absolutely loved it! I think I'll get the audio for the second book too.
Same — but the story world in this book is so amazing — I really enjoyed it.
I still need to read Daughter of Smoke and Bone BUT I think I am going to read them back to back when this one comes out! I hear such amazing things about this series. 🙂

Gah! I can't even start with all the books I haven't read yet that I want to/NEED to! This series would be one of them! I love the covers and I have heard great things about them! Time…I need more of it!

I'm always happy for a series to be complete before I begin. That's why I seem to often be way behind in my reading.

You're not alone! I read the book a month after it released, so I've been suffering for so long! Hopefully we can both wait 2 months more… Eh, who am I kidding- I want this book now!!!
