The Future Saints by Ashley Winstead

Copy of The Future Saints which shows a woman with blond hair and her hands over her head, in a pastel landscape with sun and a palm tree

Publication date: January 20 2026 by Atria. Yes, this is technically a winter title, but with its California beach town location it does NOT have a winter vibe!

Steamy or Sweet? The love scenes are very PG but this book does deal with heavy issues like grief, mental health issues, and substance use disorder.

The Future Saints is about the attraction between a drowning-in-grief lead singer of a band and the straight-laced record exec sent to either shape the band up or cut them loos.

One and Only by Maureen Goo

One & Only by Maurene Goo, a new Spring Romance and a Read with Jenna Pick

Publication Date: February 3, 2026

Steamy or sweet? I’d call this a medium spice level. Cassia explores relationships with two different guys. The love scenes are open door, but they are not overly explicit.

If you’re looking for a new Spring Romance to read, One & Only by Maurene Goo is a new Read with Jenna February 2026 pick. It’s a romance filled with magic, family and friend relationships, and a sparkling sense of fun.

The Nantucket Inn by Pamela Kelley

Publication Date: February 3, 2026

Steamy or Sweet? Very sweet. This book borders on women’s fiction.

The Nantucket Inn by Pamela Kelley is a cozy romance book with a small town setting and lots of friends and family. If you’re all about the Coastal Grandma vibes, this charming book is for you!

The Floating Venice Bookshop by Annabel French

New escapist romance: The Floating Venice Bookshop

Publication Date: February 10, 2026

Steamy or sweet? Definitely sweet. Venice (and the book) are romantic but things never progress beyond a kiss.

The Venice Bookshop is a charming escapist, “finding yourself” romance set in one of the most magical cities in the world. If you need a sweet escape to another place, this is the book for you!

Steamy or Sweet? even though this takes place in a blizzard it is STEAMY!

When a cool-tempered radio weather reporter meets his sunshine-y female TV counterpart and they are sent to cover a historical blizzard together, things get very hot and steamy! If you love a book that’s deeply emotional, including a physical connection, this is the pick for you!

The Bookstore Diaries by Susan Mallory

Steamy or Sweet: very sweet, with some closed door scenes

Two sisters struggle with exes, new romantic prospects, an sassy parrot, and the fact that there’s a crisis with the community diaries they keep safe in their store.

Once and Again by Rebecca Serle

Delicate line drawing of an Italian coastline in blue. Once and Again by Rebecca Serle

Steamy or Sweet: bittersweet, with NO steam at all

The Paris Match by Kate Clayborn

Cover of The Paris Match, a spring romance, shows a Parisian street drawn in pastel colors

Setting: Paris, obviously!!!

Publication date: April 7, 2026

Steamy or sweet: Slow burn, then some steamy open door scenes.

I really enjoyed this story of two emotionally wary people who find love in the midst of family chaos. There’s a definitely Beauty and the Beast vibe to this book that surprised and delighted me. It’s a lovely story about patience, empathy, and true emotional connection.

Meet Me in Italy by Brenda Novak

The cover of Meet Me In Italy, a new spring romance, shows an italian coastline with a basilica in the foreground

Location: Amalfi Coast, Italy

Publication date: April 7, 2026

Steamy or sweet? A few PG-13 open door scenes.

This story managed to cover a lot of topics: being unceremoniously dumped by a spouse, disagreements between a couple over whether to have children, adopting a teenager, and health challenges. All in a magically beautiful setting! I enjoyed this one – the perfect beach read!

Happy Ending by Chloe Liese

Cover of Happy ending, a new spring romance, has a yellow background and two illustrated characters in beach wear

Location: Pittsburgh

Publication date: April 7, 2026

Steamy or Sweet? This was VERY slow burn, friends-to-lovers romance. It did have some spice, but all at the very end!

If you’re a fan of Emily Henry (and sad that she’s not releasing a book this summer) then this is the title to check out! Two dumped people realize their exes are now dating each other, pretend they are old friend, actually become friends, and then fall in love!

What have your fave spring romances been? Tell me in the comments!
