Waiting on My Last Kiss by Bethany Neal

Back in 2013 I was waiting on My Last Kiss.

What am I waiting for this week? SO many things! Here’s one:

My Last Kiss by Bethany Neal

To be published by FSG in July 2013

Summary: What if your last kiss was with the wrong boy? Cassidy Haines remembers her first kiss vividly. It was on the old covered bridge the summer before her freshman year with her boyfriend of three years, Ethan Keys. But her last kiss—the one she shared with someone at her seventeenth birthday party the night she died—is a blur. Cassidy is trapped in the living world, not only mourning the loss of her human body, but left with the grim suspicion that her untimely death wasn’t a suicide as everyone assumes. She can’t remember anything from the weeks leading up to her birthday and she’s worried that she may have betrayed her boyfriend. If Cassidy is to uncover the truth about that fateful night and make amends with the only boy she’ll ever love, she must face her past and all the decisions she made—good and bad—that led to her last kiss.

My take: Well, most of you know I’m tired of amnesia plots, but I always love a good ghost story, so I’m excited for this one. I’m even up for a ghost love triangle, if that’s where this is going!

What are you waiting for this Wednesday? Leave me a link so I can check it out!

  2. LOL well, I don't know about ghost love triangle, but I know what you mean. I'm not really up for a ghost story or an amnesia story, but I haven't read one in so long, so I feel like I might actually enjoy this book. Who knows? We'll see! I hope you love this one, if/when you read it! 🙂

  3. The cover of this is really trippy. It hurts my head.

My experience with afterlife/ghost novels hasn't really been a good one. They normally bore me, or the characters are annoying, or I just have issues. And because this focuses on one last kiss, I think I'd get annoyed with it. So I might give this one a pass. I hope you get to read it and enjoy it though 🙂

  4. This sounds like a cool story, and I love the cover. I'm all for the shattered faces look! 🙂 I agree with Bookworm, she looks like Lorde!

  5. First time I hear about this book, but from the synopsis sounds like a promising read.
