You should definitely watch the show, but it’s easy to get the preppy, upscale yet relaxed look of the characters. The Sinclairs are RICH and live on Beechwood, an island near Martha’s Vineyard.

Cadence “Cady” has a slightly more feminine style, favoring summery dresses.

Her cousin Mirren has a sportier aesthetic and wears a lot of polos, tennis skirts, and high top Converse sneakers.

Dress like Cady in We Were Liars: dresses

Cady loves a summer dress! I’m obsessed with this polka dot one she wears. The blue one on the bottom left is custom made and probably a fortune.

But you can buy the polka dot dress on the top left for under $50. The blue dress on the bottom left also feels very Cady and is also under $50 and comes in a ton of patterns, including a green toile that I can see Cady wearing. And a white dress with blue flowers that is a little more airy.

In the first episode, both cousins are wearing sleeveless cable knit polo sweaters from Ralph Lauren that costs $150.

But you can get this cute vest-style cable knit sweater for under $25, which is a big savings for that summer trip.

Dress like Mirren in We Were Liars: sporty looks

Mirren loves a sporty preppy look: separates that look like they could work on the tennis court. Stripes. Butter yellow.

I love these Abercrombie looks! The breezy summer dresses are a perfect Cady look, while I can see Mirren in the cropped navy polo and white skirt or the cream polo sweater with piping.

Zara

I love Zara! They are leaning into the butter yellow trend, just like the show. I can see all these looks being featured on the show!

J. Crew Factory

J. Crew can be pricey, but the factory store has some great picks: a gingham bikini, a beautiful floral one piece, two dresses, and a sleeveless cable knit sweater.

Old Navy

Old Navy has been bringing it with some really cute looks!

I picked some dresses for Cady, and a top and shorts set and mini dress for Mirren, and a polo that both of them could wear.

Gap

I haven’t been shopping a lot at Gap lately, but they often have a lot of preppy staples, and I found some great stuff.
