The Honeycrisp Orchard Inn has the broadest appeal of the new fall 2025 cozy romances I read, with a good balance of romance, fall vibes, and spice!

Five hearts. This was a cute friends to lovers romance!
Spice level in The Honeycrisp Orchard Inn:
A cozy-appropriate 4 peppers. The scenes are pretty descriptive with some dirty talk.I don’t want my cozy fall romances TOO spicy, but you may feel differently!
Fall vibes in the Honeycrisp Orchard Inn:
Impeccable! A charming inn; Pumpkin, an Instagram Famous PJ wearing pug; and a sweet romance.

I’d describe It’s Different This Time as fall romance as written by Emily Henry. For me, that’s not a plus, because the dual timeline, angsty characters, and years-past breakup that is NOT EVEN EXPLAINED UNTIL THE VERY END.
But if you love EmHen, this is the fall book for you!

For me, It’s Different This Time was too dark and complicated for a cozy fan pick, with parental death and parental rejection as part of the plot.
Spice in It’s Different This Time:
The love interest is a chef and this one gets spicy, with action in the kitchen!
Fall vibes in It’s Different This Time:
New York City DOES have fall vibes. While It’s Different This Time does have a lot of fun bopping around New York, it didn’t have the fall vibes that the others had.
Falling Like Leaves by Misty Wilson (Sept 2025 by Simon Teen)

Romance in Falling Like Leaves:
This was a sort of friends to enemies to falling in love story. It had some teen angst, as is appropriate for a young adult novel!

This was on the Kasie West level of YA spice, with one sweet and wholesome makeout session.

INSANELY HIGH. There are at least six fall-themed town events. Apple picking. Hayrides. A corn maze. A cat cafe. A pumpkin patch. Harvest moon. A bonfire. If you want the most fall vibes possible, this is your book!

VERY slow burn. Like very. These are two wary people who circle around each other for quite a while. I did get a little impatient at times, but they got there in the end!

Good! There’s a fall harvest festival, pumpkins, an orchard, and baked goods!
