Falling Like Snow | YA Christmas Romance
Falling Like Snow by Misty Wilson is book two in the Bramble Falls YA romance series. You can read my review of book one, Falling Like Leaves!
In that review, I said that Falling Like Leaves was the most fall-coded book I read in 2026 and I’d say the same for this book: Misty Wilson packed a multitude of merry holiday events and Christmas cheer into this story. There is a tree lighting, a snowman making contest, a winter film festival, and a Snow Ball.
The only thing that might give a Christmas romance lover pause: that pesky love triangle.
Sloane Sullivan is the daughter of the Bramble Falls mayor (and the cousin of Ellis, the main character of book one.) She’s mourning her father, which gives Christmas a bittersweet feel. But she always has her best friend Asher to rely on.
When Sloane’s mom decides to organize some last minute winter activities in town (because all the fall activities in book one were so popular) she pitches in. She’s also spending time with a green eyed hockey player, Micah.
I thought the author handled the love triangle well. Sloane hadn’t really thought of Asher romantically, but being with Micah leads her to really think about what she wants in a guy. If you hate love triangles with a fiery passion, you might want to skip this one, but things never get so hot and heavy with either guy before Sloane makes up her mind.
This one gave me Dawson’s Creek vibes, with Sloane climbing into Asher’s window (iykyk).
Falling Like Snow had:
- A Friends Fall in Love trope
- SERIOUS holiday vibes with some very cute events
- A very mild love triangle
- Low spice (just kissing)
- Publication date: October 6, 2026 by Simon & Schuster Teen. Thanks so much to them for the advance review copy.
this christmas romance is Perfect For:
- Readers who want as many holiday vibes in their book as possible
- Those who don’t mind a character who flirts with the wrong guy to find the right one
